What is the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick? The sacrament in which is anointed with holy oil and receives the strength, peace, and courage to overcome the difficulties that come with illness
When do you receive the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick? When you are in times of serious illness or old age
What is a conscience? Conscience is the inner voice that helps us know what is morally right and wrong
What is sin? Sin is choosing to disobey God
What is mortal sin? It is when the action is seriously wrong, we know it is wrong, and we do it freely and willingly
What is venial sin? A less serious sin
What has God given us to help us make good choices? He has given us the 10 commandments, scripture, the sacraments, and the teachings of Jesus and the Church
What happens in the Sacrament of Reconciliation? Our sins are forgiven when we are truly sorry and promise to sin no more
What does God give us the freedom to do? Choose
What is contrition? The true sadness we feel when we know that we have sinned and the decision not to do it again
When did Jesus give us the Sacrament of Reconciliation? Easter Sunday night
Who did Jesus give the power to forgive sins? His Apostles
What is penance? An action we perform to show we are turning away from sin so that we can live as God wants us to live
What is absolution? The forgiveness of sin by God that we receive through the priest in the Sacrament of Reconciliation
Who represents Christ and the Church in the forgiving of sin? Priest
What does the name Jesus mean? God saves
What does the name Christ mean? Anointed
What is viaticum? The Eucharist that a dying person receives
Can God bring good out of suffering? Yes
Can Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick take away sins? Yes
