| fafsa | The Free Application for Federal Student Aid |
| financial aid | a loan / scholarship used to pay for school |
| state college | a college funded by the state |
| liberal arts | provides knowledge about natural sciences and social sciences |
| humanities | investigates religion art history and philosophy |
