| Community College | nonresidentail junior college, have a specific communtity and supported by government |
| Admission | the office you give application when applying |
| undergraduate | student in a univerty who does not receive first bachelor degree |
| Graduate | student that hold a bachelors degree studing an advance degree |
| Tuition | chare fee for a pirvate shcool |
| Credit | measure of learning at univerities |
| Major | specific study you're foucsing on when getting your dgeree |
| Minor | Secondary area of study beyond your major |
| Bachelor's Degree | degree awarded by a university to a student that has completed ungeradute studies |
| Associate's Degree | degree awarded by a junor college for people that completed two years of study |
| Scholarship | sum of money or aid granted by the school |
| Grant | something granted, right, sum of money |
| FAFSA | Free Applictation for Federal Student Aid, need to fill out a form to get the aid |
| Financial Aid | loan or scholarship, used to pay for school |
| State Unversity/College | colege that is financially supported by state government |
| Liberal Arts | academic course, instruction for coleges to provide general knowlegde in arts, humanities and science |
| Humanities | Investigate the past, culture and human vaules |
| Private university/college | rely heavily on student tuition fees and donations |
| Doctorate | academic dgeree for highest rank know as Ph.D. or Ed,D, awarded by some colleges for completing avanced work |
| Pre-requistite | required beforehand: |
| Registar | the people that registar of students tanscripts, evluate academic records to see if they could get in |
| Teaching assistant | graduate student in college who recipient teaching fellowship |
| Transfer | withdraw from one school to enter another |
| Transcript | a cerified record of a sudent troughtout their enrollment history with their courses atempted, grades, dgerees and awards |
| GPA | measure of scholasotic attainment by dividing the total number grade point received by total credits |
| Dean | head of faculty, school |
| Room and Board | your dorm has your place to live and board is your meal plan |
| Dormitory | containing number of private or semiprivate rooms for students |
| Semestor | half of a regular ademic year lasting from 15 to 18 weeks |
