| Term | Definition |

| University | AN institution of learning of the highest level. |
| Community collage | A nonresidential junior collage |
| Admissions | The office you apply to when sending in your collage applications. |
| Undergraduate | A student who has not received a first, especially a bachelors degree. |
| Graduate | A student who holds a bachelor's or first professional degree and is studying for an advanced degree. |
| Tuition | A charge or fee for instruction |
| Credit | A unit that measures learning |
| Major | A specific area to study while earning your degree. |
| minor | a secondary area of study while earning your degree |
| bachelors degree | a degree awarded by a collage or univirsity |
| associates degree | A degree awarded by a junior or community collage |
| scholarship | a sum of money or other aid granted to a student |
| Grant | something granted |
| FAFSA | the free application for federal student aid |
| Financial aid | Monetary support, as a loan or scholarship |
| statee Univirsity/collage | A collage that is financially supported by a state government |
| liberal arts | THe academic course of instruction atg a collage intended to provide general knowledge |
