Cavalry. That part of military force which serves on horseback.
Confederacy. The 11 states that seceded from the United States their own country.
Union. The United States of America.
Yankee. Common term for a Confederation.
Rebel. Common term for Confederate soldier.
Infantry. Group of men who travel and flight on foot
Gettysburg Address. Two-minute speech by President Lincoln at a ceremony dedicating the Battlefield as a National cemetery.
Emancipation Proclamation. Issued by President Lincoln freeing all slaves.
Civil War. People from the same country fighting against each other .
Secede. To leave the union.
