| The Water cycle | Water moves between the ocean, atmosphere, and land |
| Evaporation | the process of which water changes from liquid form to an atmospheric gas |
| Transpiration | Process where water can enter the atmosphere by evaporating from the leave of plants |
| Condensation | Water vapor rises into the atmosphere, cools, and turns back into liquid droplets, forming clouds |
| Precipitation | Water falls back to Earth as rain, snow, sleet, or hail when clouds become saturated |
| Runoff & Collection: | Water moves across land, forming streams and rivers that flow back to the oceans, or it collects in lakes |
| The Carbon Cycle | |
| What is the carbon cycle always tracked through? | Carbon dioxide |
| What moves carbon through its process? List examples | Burning of fossil fuels, animals going through cellular respiration, volcanic eruptions, burning of vegetation |
| How do you get rid of C02 | plants through photosynthesis. They make photosynthesis to make glucose (food) |
| What is the foundational piece needed to build an organic compound? | sugar |
| List 4 organic compounds | lipids, protein, carbohydrates, DNA |
| All organic compounds have carbon, so living things get carbon from sugar molecules to build their organic compounds. | |
| The nitrogen cycle | |
| The phosphors cycle | |
