Thomas H Gallaudet -met girl named Alice Cogswell -went to euopre to try to learn sign language to be able to teach alice -met Clerc and convinced him to come to America to teach deaf children -set up ASD together

Yerker Anderson -served as vp and president of WFD for many years -founded the deaf studies department at gallaudet -was very close to colleen and looked up to him
