| Avid | Adjective. Marked by active interest and enthusiasm. Synonyms: keen, eager, enthusiastic. |
| Blasphemy | Noun. The act of speaking sacrilegiously about God or sacred things; swearing or profane talk. Synonyms: sacrilege, profanity. |
| Brackish | Adjective. (Of water) slightly salty, as is the mixture of river water and seawater in estuaries. Synonyms: briny, salty. |
| Cantankerous | Adjective. Bad-tempered, argumentative and unwilling to cooperate. Synonyms: grouchy, irritable, disagreeable. |
