| Age of majority to contract | Typically 18 in most jurisdictions, at which an individual gains the capacity to enter into binding, enforceable agreements. |
| Contractual capacity | Legal competence a person or entity entering a binding agreement, requiring them to understand the contract's terms and consequences. |
| Disaffirmance | Legal act of repudiating, canceling, or voiding a voidable contract or transaction, commonly used by minors. |
| Emancipation | The fact or process of being set free from legal, social, or political restrictions; liberation. |
| Intoxication | The state of being intoxicated, especially by alcohol. |
| Mental incapacity | Refers to a person's inability to manage their own affairs, care for themselves, or understand the consequences of their actions. |
| Minor | Some 18 and under. |
| Minority | State of being under the legal age of adulthood, typically 18. where you can not vote or take certain adult responsibilities. |
| Necessaries | Defense or justification arguing that illegal action was taken to prevent a greater, imminent harm. |
| Ratification | Action of signing or giving formal consent to a treaty, contract, or agreement making it officially valid. |
| Scope of authority | Defines specific range of power, duties, and decision-making limits delegated to an agent, employee, or representative. |
