| Term | Definition |

| Undo | Removes the action just done. |
| Redo | Adds the last action that was deleted back into the document |
| Cut | Removes the selection to be pasted somewhere else on the document |
| Copy | Duplicated the selection to be pasted somewhere else on the document. |
| Select all | Select all content in the document |
| Find and Replace | Find a word or phrase in your document and replace it with another word or phrase |
| Share | Give others access to edit, comment, or view your Google Doc |
| New | Create a blank doc |
| Open | Retrieve a doc from Drives |
| Make a copy | Make an exact duplicate of a Google Doc. It will say “Copy of….” in front of the copied document. |
| Allows you to send the doc as an attachment; also able to email collaborators of the doc | |
| Download | Convert your Google Doc into a compatible Microsoft Word document and Portable Document Format (PDF). A PDF cannot be edited or changed. |
| Version history | Allows you to access previous edits and changes made to doc. |
| Rename | Give your document a new name. To do this, click the name in the top left corner and type. |
| Move | Move your document to a new location (folder) in your Drive. |
| Add shortcut to Drive | If you want easy access to a file, add it as a shortcut to your Drive. It will appear on your Drive home page. |
| Move to trash | Move a file to trash if you no longer want to use it. It will last 30 days in trash before it is permanently deleted. |
| Page setup | Allows you to change page orientation from “portrait” to “landscape” and also margins. Margins are the amount of space at the top, bottom, left, and right of your doc. |
| Make your doc a paper copy by clicking the print command. |
