| Assosciatve property | this property that the way in which numbers are grouped when they are added or multiplied does not change the sum or product. Ex. (a+ b) + c = a +(b+c) |
| Multiplicative property | When any number is multiplied by 0 the product is 0. |
| Inverse property | Two things that add to zero or multiply to one. Ex. 7+(-7)=0 |
| The zero property | The product of any number and zero is zero. Ex. 5x0=0 |
| Communative property | This property states that in order in which numbers are added or multiplied does NOT change the sum or product. Ex. a+b=b+a |
| Additive identity | When 0 is added to any number, the sum is the number. Ex. b+0=b |
| Multiplicative property | When any number multiplied by 1, the product is the number. bx1=b |
