| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Term | It is a simple mathematical expression terms are the parts that make up an expression or equation |
| Parallelogram | A four-sided flat shape with straight sides where opposite sides are parallel and equal in length. |
| Triangle | A polygon with three sides and three angles |
| Trapezoid | A four-sided flat shape with at least one pair of parallel sides |
| Face | A flat surface of a 3D shape (for example a cube has six faces.) |
| Base | The surface a solid object stands on, or the bottom line of a 2d shape. In prisms and pyramids the base helps name the shape (like a triangular prism.) |
| Vertex | A point where two or more line segments meet, essentially a corner. |
| Edge | A line segment where two faces of a 3D shape meet |
| Prism | A 3D shape with two identical, parallel bases and flat sides (faces) that are usually rectangles |
| Pyramid | A 3D shape with a polygon base and triangular faces that all meet at a single point (the Apex) at the top |
| Square | A parallelogram with four equal sides and four right angles |
| Rectangle | A parallelogram with four right angles (90 degrees) |
