| Calibrating: | Carefully adjusting or fine-tuning something to make it as accurate or effective as possible. |
| Pragmatic: | Dealing with things sensibly and realistically based on what actually works, rather than following a strict theory or ideology. |
| Transactionalism: | A style of relationship or politics based purely on "give and take" or "deals" rather than shared values or long-term loyalty. |
| Unhindered: | Moving or acting freely without any obstacles, delays, or interference. |
| Conferred: | To have a title, degree, benefit, or right officially granted or given to you. |
| Subordination: | The act of placing someone in a lower rank or making them secondary/subject to another’s authority. |
| Retaliation: | The act of "hitting back" or seeking revenge against someone who has harmed you (often through trade or military action). |
