Intro To 3D Figures

QuestionAnswer
Parallelogram/Rectangle/Square A = b x h
Triangle A = b x h / 2
Trapezoid A = (b1 + b2) x h / 2
Face Faces of a three-dimensional figure are any of the surfaces, including the bases.
Base The base of a three-dimensional figure names the shape.
Vertex The vertex is the corner of a three-dimensional figure.
Edge The edge is the line segment that joins two faces.
Prisms A prism is a solid figure with two parallel bases that are separated by the height of the figure.
Pyramids A pyramid is a solid figure with one base and triangular faces .
