Taxonomy the study and classification of organisms (living and extinct)
Amino Acid building blocks of proteins
DNA the molecule that carries the genetic instructions for an organism's development and functioning
Homologous Structure Similar body parts in different species (that may serve different functions) that show a common ancestor
Vestigial Structure a feature that a species inherited from an ancestor but that is now less elaborate and functional than in the ancestor
