cultural diffusion the spread of people, ideas, technology, and products from one culture to another
discrimination the unjust judgment or mistreatment of a person or people due to race, sex, religion, nationality, or other characteristic
economic factor a reason for migration related to availability of resources, employment opportunities, or trade patterns
environmental factor a reason for migration related to climate, natural disasters, or other natural circumstances
intolerance an unwillingness to accept different peoples’ views, beliefs, or behavior
migration the movement of people or animals from one place to another
political factor a reason for migration related to governmental leadership or citizens rights
pull factor a reason to move to a new location
push factor a reason to leave a place
social factor a reason for migration related to discrimination, intolerance, or religious freedom
