ECS OFF signal closes the packs during takeoff when? -one engine inoperative -Thrust levers MAX / No APU bleed -Takeoff dataset ECS OFF / No APU Bleed
ECS OFF signal closes the packs during go around when? -All engines inoperative / no APU bleed up to 9,700 -Thrust levers MAX / no APU Bleed
Packs commanded on when? Thrust reduction below TOGA 2 engine takeoff above 500' takeoff field elevation
How many channels does the Cabin pressure controller have? two
Can the Cabin Pressure controller be manually controlled? Yes
How can the outflow valve be controlled? Manually or automatically
What does the outflow valve do? It controls how much air from the cabin is let out to the surrounding environment
When does the negative pressure relief valve open? -.5 psi
Is the negative pressure relief valve controlled by the CPCS? NO
What is the purpose of the negative pressure relief valve? it protect the cabin from negative differential pressure damage
When does the Positive pressure relief valve open? 8.6 PSI
What is the purpose of the positive pressure relief valve? it protect the cabin from positive pressure differential pressure damage
Is the static port electrically heated? yes
What does the static port do? It senses environmental pressure for the safety valve
In Manual mode does the cabin automatically depressurize on landing? No
Will the dump function work if the Cabin Pressure Controller is in manual mode? no
Tell me about the ground mode operation of the CPCS OFV is set open fully, Cabin pressure is set to .01 PSI less than ambient pressure it allows 500FPM and -300FPM change rate
When does the CPCS activate taxi mode> WOW, engines 60% N2 or higher, doors closed
When does ground mode activate for the CPCS? Weight on wheels status on the ground Engines running below takeoff thrust
How does the CPCS taxi mode operate? Cabin pressure is set to ambient pressure plus an offset of .11PSID Cabin altitude change rate is -300 FPM
