What's the Job of the Executive Branch? To administrate of carry out laws passed by Congress and enforce the laws
What are the four other jobs the president does? 1. Directing foreign policy 2. Negotiating treaties with other nations 3. Naming ambassadors 4. Commander in Chief of armed forces
Who does the Judicial branch involve? The Supreme Court
How many justices serve on the Supreme Court and for how long and who are they Chosen by? There are 9 justices who serve for life and are chosen by the President
What are the 2 important jobs of the Supreme Court? 1.Judicial Review- Reviewing the actions of the Executive and Legislative branch to see if they violate the Constitution 2. Creating lower courts
Who does the Checks and Balences System involve? The Legislative, Judicial, and Executive Branches and the 55 framers of the Constitution
What did the 55 framers of the Constitution set up when they set up the Checks and Balances System? A system where each branch of government can limit the power of the other branches
How does the Checks and Balances system work? Congress (Legislative Branch) has the power to pass a law and if the Executive branch (The President) disagrees and doesn't sign the law he can veto it but if 2/3rds of the Legislatures still want to pass the law they can over ride it
How can the Executive Branch check the Judicial Branch? The Executive Branch can check the Judicial Branch by having the power to choose Supreme Court Judges
How can the Executive Branch check the Legislative branch? The Executive Branch can check the Legislative branch by vetoing or rejecting a bill
How can the Legislative Branch check the Judicial Branch? The Legislative Branch can check the Judicial Branch by impeaching judges and rejecting the appointment of judges
How can the Legislative Branch check the Executive Branch? The Legislative Branch can check the Executive Branch by impeaching the president, overriding veto's, rejecting appointments, and refusing to approve treaties
How can the Judicial branch check the Executive Branch? The Judicial branch can check the Executive Branch by declaring the presidential actions unconstitutional

What's the Bill of rights? The first 10 amendments to the Constitution
When was the bill of rights added? The Bill of rights was added in 1791
What are the first 5 rights all apart of the first amendment? 1. Religion 2. Speech 3. Press 4. Assembly 5. Petition
Who did the amendment process involve? The 55 framers/ delagates
Why is the amendment process important? Since it's the outline to support a stable government
