En plus, c’est un travail où on casse des choses et on conduit de gros camions bruyants. Plus it's a job where you break things and drive big loud trucks.
J’ai postulé et je me suis engagé dans l’armée pour acquérir de l’expérience. I applied and joined the military for experience.
Aussi pour avoir une éducation gratuite. Also for a free education.
J’ai quitté l’armée et j’ai installé des enseignes pendant un certain temps. I left the military and installed signs for a while.
J’ai vu une annonce en ligne pour un poste de pompier à bord d’un navire. I saw an ad online for a shipboard firefighter.
J’ai postulé pour le poste et je l’ai obtenu. I applied for the job and got it.
J’aimais aussi l’idée d’avoir une pension, de bons avantages sociaux et un bon salaire. I also liked the idea of a pension, good benefits and a good salary.
