Flagyl Interacts with alcohol
SSRI's, Benzos, Antipsychotics X Alcohol Increases sedative effects
Grapefruit Juice Interacts with Statins, increases statin toxicity
MAO Inhibitors X Tyramine diet MAO inhibitors (Tranylcypromine, Isocarboxazid, Phenelzine) taken with a tyramine-rich diet (strong/aged cheeses, fermented foods, alcohol such as beer, sauerkraut, soy or teriyaki sauce and cured meats) can trigger a hypertensive crisis
Antacids X Dairy or Calcium, Magnesium and Iron This combo can reduce efficacy of Levothyroxine, Tetracyclines, Bisphoshonates and Fluoroquinolones
Leafy Green Vegetables X Warfarin (ie Vitamin K) Reduces efficacy of Warfarin, therefore increasing risk of blood clot formation
ACE Inhibitors (-pril) X Potassium supplements Electrolyte imbalance or hyperkalemia
Anti-Platelets X NSAIDS X Anti Coagulants Increased risk of bleeding
Beta Blockers and Calcium Channel Blockers Slow Heart Rate and increased risk of heart failure
Broad spectrum antibiotics and Warfarin Increased risk of bleeding
Digoxin with diuretics Loop and thiazide diuretics can lead to digoxin toxicity
Corticosteroids and NSAIDs Increased risk of peptic ulceration and GI bleed
PPIs and Anti-Platelet Decrease in both drugs effectiveness
