Firmly Firmly means doing something with strength, stability, or in a secure way that does not easily shake or change
Scold To scold is to speak to someone in a serious, firm, or angry way because they did something wrong or broke a rule.
Dodge To dodge is to quickly move, jump, or twist out of the way of something, such as in a game of tag, to avoid being hit or caught
Relent/relented To relent or relented means to finally agree to something after saying "no" before, becoming less strict, or softening your attitude
Glimpse A glimpse is a very quick look at something that only lasts for a second, often when you are passing by or looking through a window
Mending/mend Mending means to fix, repair, or heal something that is broken, torn, or hurt, making it whole and usable again
Nomad A nomad is a person who does not live in one fixed home, but instead moves from place to place, often following the seasons or searching for food, water, and grazing land for animals.
Insist To insist means to say something very firmly, demanding that it must happen or that it is true, without giving up
Snuffle /snuffling Snuffle/snuffling refers to breathing heavily, audibly, or repeatedly through the nose, often due to congestion, crying, or sniffing to smell something.
Extinction /extinct Extinction is the complete, permanent disappearance of a species from Earth, occurring when the last surviving member dies and the species can no longer reproduce or recover.
Incident An incident is a specific event, happening, or episode, often unexpected or unusual
Cease /ceased Cease (verb/noun) means to stop, halt, discontinue, or bring an action to an end
Century A century is a period of 100 years
Mend /mending To mend means to fix, repair, or make something whole again that is broken, torn, or damaged,
Snippets /snippets A snippet is a small, brief piece, fragment, or scrap of something, such as information, conversation, or text.
Rummage /rummaged To rummage (or rummaged) means to search for something by messy, hurried moving of items, often turning things over in a drawer, bag, or box to find what you want.
Heroine a woman admired or idealized for her courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.
Emerge Emerge means to come out from a hidden, dark, or covered place into view.
Prod /prodding Prod means to poke, jab, or nudge someone with a finger or stick to get their attention
Tatter /tattered Tattered describes something, like clothes, books, or flags, that is old, ripped, and hanging in shreds from being worn out or used too much
