Mountains and deserts, such as the Himalayas and Gobi Desert, helped protect imperial China from some invasions but made travel and trade difficult. What was one effect of this geography on imperial China? It kept China isolated and protected, but made trade slower and harder.
During imperial China, the Silk Road helped spread goods like silk and ideas like Buddhism to other parts of Asia and Europe. What happened because of the Silk Road? Cultural diffusion spread goods and ideas between different cultures.
The Han dynasty became strong because of inventions, trade, and good leadership but later fell because of corruption and attacks from enemies. What caused the fall of the Han dynasty? weak leaders and invasions by outside groups
Which invention from ancient China is still used today to help people find direction? compass
