| climax | the turning point in the story |
| expository | text that informs and is usually non fiction |
| main idea | The central message |
| foreshadow | clues that indicate that something will happen later |
| metaphor | comparing without using like or as |
| Setting | when or where did it take place |
| authors purpose | the primary reason for writing a text |
| context clues | hints found within sentences or paragraphs |
| conflict | a process of perceived incompatibility of goals, interests, or values between parties, resulting in, or from, sharp disagreements or emotional, mental, and sometimes violent, struggles |
| dialogue | a conversation between two or more people |
| plot | the structured sequence of causally related events |
| suffix | letters that you put at the back of a word to change the meaning |
| text features | They help readers find information efficiently, visualize complex data, and identify key concepts. |
