Embryo Developing organism from the time of fertilization to about the eighth week of development

Pituitary Gland A gland that signals other endocrine glands to produce many functions
Endocrine System The body's chemical communication system that regulates many functions

Ovulation The release of one mature egg each month
menstruction Lining material, the unfertilized egg, and some blood flow out of the body
Uterus A pear shaped organ inside a female body where a fetus is protected and nourished
Vagina A muscular passage-way from the uterus to outside the body
Egg The reproductive cell from the female that joins with a sperm cell to make new life
Endometrium the lining of the uterus
Abstinence the conscious, active choice not to participate in high-risk behaviors.
