What is the nature of religion? The nature of religion is concerned with the big questions in life. it is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and the world views that relate to spirituality and to moral values.
What does 'meaning' mean and why does it matter? Meaning is the answer to the big existential questions in life. The quest that drives individuals. Meaning matters because humans struggle when life feels pointless

What is the Maslow's hierarchy of needs? self actualization, esteem, love/belonging, safety, physiological.
What is spirituality? Spirituality is the human desire to connect with something bigger than yourself. It is also a journey.
What is ultimate reality? Ultimate reality is what a person believes is the deepest truth about life.
Compare spirituality and religion Spirituality is an inner search, is personal, and connects to feelings and meaning whereas religion are organised system, is shared, and connects to beliefs and practices.
What are the 9 aspects of religion? Beliefs, text, rituals, symbols, space/places/times/and artifacts, social structure, sacred texts, ethics, spiritual experiences.
What does 'beliefs' mean? Beliefs is the ideas that followers accept as true about life, the world and the divine

What does 'text' mean? Texts mean written beliefs, stories, ethical principles and moral codes of behaviour.

What does 'rituals' mean? Rituals are a prescribed set of actions, gestures and words which have a symbolic meaning and are sacred.

What does 'symbols' mean? Symbols are images or objects that represent deeper religious meanings.

What does 'social structure' mean? Social structure are the organised ways a religion builds leadership and community.
