| Egyptian Pyramids | Triangular shaped structures that held the pharaoh's treasures for the afterlife. |
| Empire | A group of territories or nations under a single ruler or government. |
| Golden Age | Refers to the best (most prosperous) times of a civilization. |
| Sanskrit | Language created by the Gupta Empire |
| Astronamy | The study of the stars and planets. |
| Malady (maladies) | Disease or sickness |
| Gupta empire | Many successes during this time period in ancient India because it was a time of peace. |

| Cuneiform | Wedge shaped writing in Mesopotamia. Those who could write and read it were scribes. |
