| Third Person limited | The POV that the narrator with access to only one characters perspective |
| Third person Omniscient | Narrators not a character but can communicate all of the characters thoughts, actions, and feelings |

| central theme | The big idea or lesson everyone can relate to |
| central idea | The main thing the author wants to prove or explain about the topic |
| revision/revised | the act of revising and to re-examine |
| formal vs. informal tone | Formal doesn't use first person pronouns and informal is like conversational ad expressive |
| ojective summary | The neutral overview of a text |
| conclusion | The end/finish of a process or event |
| Claim or counterclaim | Claim is the main argument and the counterclaim is the opposite point of view . |

| point of view | Who is telling the story |
| Primary purpose | The main reason or intention behinda event, policy, or action |
| relevant vs. irrelevant | irrelevant is not important or not related to the topic and relevant is |
| Primary or primarly | Primary:of chief importance primarily: for the most part |
| connotation | an idea or feeling that a word that a word invokes in addition to its literal or primary meaning |
| emphasis | special importance, value, or prominence given to something |
| contribute | give in order or help achieve or provide something |
| inference/infer/inferred | a conclusion reached on the basis or evidence and reasoning |
| Omit/Omission | a person or thing that has been left or excluded |
| analogy | a comparing between two things, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification |
| allusion | an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly |
| antonym | a word or phrase that is opposite meanings to another word. |
| synonym | a word that means the same thing as another |
| interrogative | having or conveying the force of a question. |
| indicative | serving as a sign of something |
| subjunctive | relating to or denoting. mood of verbs express what is imagined or wished |
| imperative | of vital importance |
| conditional | subject to one or more conditions to be met. |
| stanza | a group of lines forming the basic recurring metrical unit in a poem |
| Transitional/transition phrase | The process or period of changing from one step to another |
| dialogue | conversation between two or more people |
| Ellipsis | the omission from one speech or writing of a word that are superfluous |
| Maintain focus | concentrate or paying attention |
| Acknowledge of an opposing viewpoint | identifying and considering an opposing viewpoint |
| concise/precise | concise is using as few words as possible to convey convey a meaning and precise is to be as accurate as possible. |
| Convey meaning | to transport or carry the meaning |
| active vs. passive voice | active is when the subject is performing an action and passive is when the subject undergoes the action of a verb |
