| Term | Definition |

| Third Person limited | A point of view where an outside narrator uses he, she, or they nd follows the characters perspective. |
| Third person omniscient | A non-character narrator that is all knowing uses words like he she or they. |
| Phrase | A small group of words that stand together and typically form a component of a clause. |
| Central Theme | The underlying message, lesson, or big idea an author is trying to convey through plot, characters, and setting. |
| Central idea | The primary message or main point and author conveys in text. (Informational) |
| Revision/Revised | The process of reviewing , updating, or amending written work, plans, or ideas to modernize them. |
| Formal | Behavior, clothing, language, one event that establish rules. |
| Informal | Having a relaxed friendly, or unofficial style, or nature. |
| Objective Summary | A concise nature overview of a texts main point or key supporting details, written in words. Neutral. |
| Conclusion | The end or finish of an event or process. |
| Claim/Counterclaim | To state or assume something is the case with evidence or proof. |
| Perspective | A particular attitude/stance toward or way of regarding something ; a point of view. |
| Point of View | A particular attitude or way of considering a matter. |
| Primary Purpose | The fundamental, most important goal or reason for existence. |
| Relevant | Closely connected or appropriate to what is being done. |
| Irrelevant | Not connected with or relevant to something. |
| Primary/Primarily | For the most part connected; mainly |
| Connotation | An idea or feeling that a word invokes in addition to it's libera |
| Emphasis | Special importance, value, or prominence given to something |
| Contribute | To give something (money) in order to help achieve or provide something |
| Inference | A conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning |
| Omit | Leave out or exclude (someone or something) either intentionally or forgotfully |
| Analogy | An expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly; an indirect or passing reference |
| Allusion | A comparison between two things typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification |
| Antonym | A word that has the opposite meaning of another word. |
| Synonym | A word or phrase that means exactly the same as another word or phrase. |
