Scrotum Sac that holds and protects the testes
Sperm duct Tube that carries sperm from the testis to the urethra
Urethra Tube that carries urine and semen out of the body
Gland Organ that adds fluids to sperm to form semen
Semen Mixture of sperm and protective fluids
Sperm Male gamete that fertilizes the egg
Ovary Female organ that produces eggs and hormones
Ovulation Release of a mature egg from the ovary
Menstruation Shedding of the uterus lining when no fertilization occurs
Menstrual cycle Monthly cycle preparing the female body for pregnancy
Fallopian tube Tube that carries the egg from ovary to uterus
Oviduct Another name for the fallopian tube
Womb Another name for the uterus
Copulation Sexual intercourse
Uterus Organ where the embryo implants and develops
Zygote Fertilized egg formed when sperm and egg fuse
Embryo Early stage of development after the zygote divides
Placenta Organ that exchanges nutrients and wastes between mother and fetus
Umbilical cord Cord connecting fetus to placenta
Foetus Developing baby after major organs form
Gestation Period of development from fertilization to birth
