Community paramedicine a health care model where paramedics receive advanced training to equip them to provide additional services in the prehospital enviornment, such as health evaluations, monitoring of chronic illnesses or cnditions, and patient advocacy
Continuum of care Consistent patient care across the entire health care team, from first contact to discharge
Group A collection of providers working independently without coordinated roles
Team Providers working interdependently with assigned roles under a designated leader. (coordinated roles and shared responsibility)
Intrependent groups all individuals work together with shared responsibilities and common goal - as opposed to focusing on the goals of their respective individual areas
independent groups each individua is responsible for their own area. they can recieve support but do not have to wait for an assignment before taking action (as they would in a dependent group)
dependent groups each individual is told what to do and how often to do it by the group leader/supervisor

Crew resource management (CRM) A set of training principles that improve teamwork, communication, and decision-making in high-stress enviornments. (emphasizing communication and role clarity.
Interdisciplinary approach Collaboration among different health care disciplines (EMTs, paramedic, nurses, physicians) to optimize patient outcomes and
Patient safety culture Shared values and practices that prioritize safety in all aspects of care
Transfer of care The formal handoff of responsibilty from one provider or team to another
ALS assistance EMTs supporting advanced life support providers with tasks like IV setup or airway management
Cultural competence Awareness and respect for diverse patient backgrounds to ensure effective communication and care
