1. interquartile range (IQR) - the difference between the upper quartile and lower quartile
2. mean - the sum of a set of values divided by the number of values; often called the average
3. mean absolute deviation (MAD) - the sum of the distances of each data point from the mean of the data set divided by the number of data points; always positive
4. measure of center - a single number that summarizes what is typical for all the values in a data set
5. measure of variability - a single number that summarizes how much the values in a data set vary
6. median - the middle number, or the halfway point between the two middle numbers, in an ordered set of values ... in
7. range - the difference between the greatest value (maximum) and the least value (minimum) in a data set
