Periodic Sentence a sentence where the main clause (the key point) is placed at the end, following introductory phrases or subordinate clauses (creating a sense of suspense until the final part of the sentence is reached)
Loose Sentence a sentence that begins with the main idea and then adds details with modifying phrases or clauses (often for poetic effect)
