What was the gold rush? mass movement of people looking for gold in California

What was life like for people who were looking for gold? hard, and tiring
What was the trail of tears? relocation for native Americans to reservations in Oklahoma

Why did so Native Americans die on their trip to reservation? Disease, bad weather and not good conditions.
