Veterans Day

Veteran A person who has served in the military.
Military The armed forces that protect a country (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard).
Service The work someone does to help or protect others, especially in the military.
Honor To show respect and appreciation.
Sacrifice Giving up something important for the good of others.
Courage Being brave, even when something is difficult or dangerous.
Freedom The ability to live your life without unfair limits; something Veterans help protect.
Patriotism Love and pride for your country.
Duty A responsibility or job someone is expected to do.
Respect Treating someone with care, kindness, and appreciation.
Ceremony A special event held to honor or remember people.
Parade A public celebration where people march to show support or pride.
Flag A symbol of a country that is usually flown on poles.
Bravery The quality of facing challenges without giving up.
Service Member A person currently serving in the military.
