There are two kinds of geomorphologic disjunction – Continental drift (land/sea barrier). – Land bridges
Dispersal is a form of geographical range expansion which could occur in three ways. – Jump dispersal – Diffusion – Secular
Four types of endemism are recognized based on the causes/origin of endemism. – Paleoendemics – Insular endemics – Neoendemics – Ecological endemics
