| Actin | A protein molecule found in muscle cells that allows muscles to contract and retract |
| Myosin | A protein molecule found in muscle cells that allows muscles to contract and retract |
| Phenotype | Phenotype is used to refer to the way an organism looks |
| Protein | A type of molecule in our food that our body needs |
| Pedigree | A graphic organizer that keeps track of the biological relationships of parents and offspring and their variations of a trait |
| Sexual reproduction | An egg cell and sperm cell combining to develop into an offspring |
| Chromosomes | A common feature of most cells, that is copied when new cells are made. |
| Karyotype | An organized set of chromosomes from a cell that allow scientists to find specific patterns |
| Nucleus | The nucleus is a common feature found inside most cells; the nucleus is where the chromosomes are located in the cell |
