types of joint movement and joints

synarthroses no movement, fibrous connective tissue grows between articulating bones
amphiarthroses slight movement, cartilage connects to articulating bones
diarthroses free movement, most joints, allows diff kinds of movement determined by structure of each joint
functions of freely moveable joints ball and socket, hinge, pivot, saddle, gliding and condyloid
