| Sound waves | A wave that transfers energy through vibrating air or other matter |
| Vibration | The back-and-forth motion of an object |
| Frequency | The number of vibrations (waves) that sound makes each second |
| Pitch | The high or low quality of a sound (high frequency= high pitch) (low frequency= low pitch) |
| Solar | Meaning the sun, energy from the sun’s light is used to create electricity |
| Environment | All the living and nonliving things in an area |
| Hydroelectricity | Electricity produced from the energy of moving water |
| Wind energy | Energy created using a windmill (windmills harness the motion of the wind to help turn machinery.) |
| Renewable resources | A resource that can be replaced by nature quickly |
| Non-renewable resources | A resource that cannot be replaced by nature quickly (examples; coal, oil, natural gas) |
