charrettes meeting in which all stakeholders in a project attempt to resolve conflicts and map solutions
Charrette guiding principles involve everyone from start, work concurrently and cross functionally, work in short feedback loops, work in detail
value engineering owner engages in formal review of design with the goal of maximizing value of project while reducing construction cost
macleamy curve ability to affect cost and functional capabilities is highest early in the design process; concept developed by patrick macleamy illustrating relationship btwn effort in design process and cost of making design changes
