| Strauss Syndrome | Kids with learning and behavior difficulties is linked to brain dysfunction. |
| Cerebral Palsy | Group of disorders that affect movement, muscle, and coordination caused by damage to the brain. |
| Minimal Brain Injury | Learning or behavior problems thought to be caused by slight brain damage. |
| Hyperactive Child Syndrome | Kids with extreme hyperactivity and attention problems. |
| Neurotransmitters | Chemical messengers in the brain that send signals between nerve cells. |
| Dopamine | Neurotransmitter involved in motivation, reward, attention, and movement |
| Norepinephrine | Neurotransmitter that affects alertness, attention, and body's response to stress. |
| Molecule Genetics | Study of genes at a molecular level, including how genes influence traits and disorders. |
| Executive Functioning | Mental skills that would help you with planning, remembering, focusing, and instructions. |
| Hyperactivity | Excessive movement, fidgety and difficulty staying still. |
| Behavioral Inhibition | Ability to control impulses and stop oneself from acting without thinking. |
| Sluggish Cognitive Tempo | Pattern pf symptoms such as daydreaming, slow thinking, and low energy. |
| Adaptive Behavioral Skills | Everyday life skills needed to function independently. |
| Contingency-based Self-Management | Strategy where someone monitors and rewards their own behavior based on goals or rules. |
