How were Monks and Nuns supported? Monasteries were/are supported financially by the Church (monks don’t have to beg)
Where did friars live? Lived within society and worked with the general public
What are examples of friars? Dominicans and Franciscans are examples of friars
How were Friars supported? They preached and begged for food (called mendicants)
What did Friars do? They preached and taught others how to live a good, Christian life. Often this meant opposing rulers of their time.
