| pyramid | A polyhedron that has one base; the lateral faces are triangles |
| face | A flat surface area of a polyhedron |
| surface area | the sum of all the areas of all the faces of a polyhedron |
| net | A two-dimensional representation of a solid |
| volume | A measure of the amount of space that a three-dimensional figure occupies. Measured in cubic units. |
| polyhedron | A solid whose faces are all polygons. |
| edge | A line segment where two faces of a polyhedron intersect |
| solid | A three-dimensional figure that encloses a space |
| kite | A quadrilateral that that has two pairs of adjacent sides with the same length and opposite sides with different lengths |
| vertex (of a solid) | A point where three or more edges intersect |
| polygon | A closed figure in a plane that is made up of three or more line segments that intersect only at their endpoints. |
| Prism | A polyhedron that has two parallel, identical bases; the lateral faces are parallelograms. |
