ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) a type of broadband technology that enables always on internet access over existing copper telaphone lines.
Cookie small text files containing unique ID's sored on a users device by a web browser, designed to remember user information.
Driver a specialized software program that acts as a translator enabiling an operating system or application to communicate with and control specific hardware components.
Encryption a data security method that converts readable information into an unreadable encode format using algorithms
Firewall a network security system that acts as a barrier between a trusted internet network and untrusted external networks
GIF The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) is a bitmap image format developed by CompuServe that supports both static and animated images, optimized for, fast-loading web graphics
JPEG JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is a standardized, commonly used lossy compression method for digital images enabling significant file size reduction
LAN A Local Area Network (LAN) is a technology that connects computers, servers, and devices within a specific geographic area to enable high-speed data sharing and internet access
Network Network technology refers to the physical hardware (cables, routers, switches) and software protocols that enable computing devices to connect, communicate, and share resources
QR Code A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional, scannable matrix barcode designed for high-speed, machine-readable data storage
