ATIS Army Training & Information System: Manage training records and record HT/WT, AFT, weapons qual, & other training. (replaced DTMS)
IPPS-A Integrated Personnel & Pay System-Army: Manage personnel records & pretty much everything. Update college credits, addresses, DD93-Emergency contacts, 5960-BAH forms, incentives, assignments & more.
IPERMS Record Management System: A records management tool. If anything changes in someone's life it needs to be documented. Marriage, children, promotions, awards, etc.
MODS Anything medical. Mainly a readiness NCO/Officers duty to manage this.
FMS Web All things MTOE and future planning. This is where you'll go to find your current MTOE and any future changes that are already in the works. This is how we know that we are going to be losing a position or if we are gaining or losing equipment.
MARSS-N/Damps All things orders. You can look up orders or create orders here.
MUP Military Unit Pay: Go here for drill pay, AFTP pay, and orders pay. You can look up how many UTA's someone has attended & what pay code they attended it on.
GCSS-Army This is for everything unit equipment. You'll eventually have vehicles and maybe weapons here. This is were you'll push out dispatches, work orders, and PMCS's.
DTS Defense Travel System: Authorizations & vouchers for travel expenses.

Understand the process for promotions EPS gets pushed through IPPS-A to verify declination, promotion points. M-day vacancy board-anyone can board for, This requires a packet from the soldier.
Understand the process for awards All awards are submitted in IPPS-A except Iowa Awards. Iowa Awards are submitted to Battalion staff from approval on a Iowa Form 638.
Know the basics of unit training management UTM: Unit training management, Re-Arm Cycle (arthegen cycle), METL- Mission Essential tasks list.
Know how the unit training brief, unit training calendar, and unit training plan work together The unit training plan is the OPORD that dictates the main tasks that need to be on the unit training brief & unit training calendar. The unit training brief is a combo of the tasks from the OPORD and the unit training calendar. This is briefed by the
