Multiply and Divide

QuestionAnswer
multiple of a number is a product of a given whole number and another whole number.
row items arranged in horizontal lines
factors a whole number that divides exactly into another number. a whole number that multiplies with another number to make a third number.

product the result when two numbers are multiplied
array a set of objects or numbers arranged in order, often in rows and columns
partial products the result obtained when a number is multiplied by one digit of a multiplier

dividend the number being divided
dimensions refers to length, breadth, and height
quotient the number resulting from dividing one number by another
divisor a number that will divide the dividend exactly
length distance from one end to the other. How long something is
width breadth. Distance across from side to side
remainder amount left over after dividing a number
divide sharing or grouping a number into equal parts.
multiply a mathematical operation where a number is added to itself a number of times
