What is the IDEIA Legislation? The IDEIA Legislation states that if an IEP requires assistive technology, the state MUST provide it. This legislation is very heavily set on the fact that schools have to abide by a student's IEP needs for assistive technology.
What is the Section 504/508 Legislation? The 504 legislation says that people with disabilities will not be allowed to be refused solely based on their disability. These people must receive FAPE. 508 is an amended variation of this legislation-Federal agencies must use AT when needed.
What is the Americans with Disabilities Act? This legislation has 5 different titles. Each title has a different purpose. The main point of each title is to allow and require appropriate assistance for different locations and situations.
