Solution A mixture (usually a liquid) of 2 or more substances
Mixture A combination of two or more substances
Heterogeneus A mixture where you can see the individual parts
Homogeneus A mixture that looks like one (eg:
Solute The part of a solution that dissolves in the solvent
Solvent The part of the solution that does the dissolving to the solute
Concentrated Solution A type of solution in which there is a "perfect" amount of solute
Saturated Solution A type of solution in which there is too much solute and some of it doesn't dissolve
Dilute Solution A type of solution in which there is too little solute and it doesn't change the solvent much
Water The universal solvent (also a liquid)
Coffee Filter A way to filter mixtures/solutions
