Liver Like a chemical factory. Breaks down toxins. Converts sugar to carbs and fat.
Kidney Filters wastes and water from blood to produce urine.
Heart Pumps blood to the lungs and all body tissues.
Spleen Filters and recycles dead red blood cells. Blood cells die every 30 days and need to be removed.
Brain Controls movement, senses, thinking, memory, and emotion.
Eye lens Focuses light on the retina to make an image.
Urinary bladder Stores urine until you are ready to release it.
Testicle Produces sperm and testosterone.
Gall bladder Produces bile, a chemical that helps digest fat in food.
Bone Muscles pull on these to allow movement. Contains marrow which is where new blood cells are made.
Stomach Produces acid to digest protein. Made of muscle to grind up food.
Small intestine Where most digestion happens. Many enzymes are released here into food. Most nutrients are absorbed from food into the blood here.
Lungs Where the blood picks up oxygen and releases CO2.
Fat bodies Stores fat to use for energy when food is unavailable.
Large intestine Stores feces until ready to be released. Where most of the water is removed from feces.
Oviduct Where eggs are stored before being released.
