1. what is the 1 amendment? First Amendment: Protects the freedoms of speech, religion, press, assembly, and the right to petition the government.
2. what is the 2 amendment? Second Amendment: Guarantees the right to keep and bear arms.
3. what is the 3 amendment? Third Amendment: Restricts the quartering of soldiers in private homes.
4. what is the 4 amendment? Fourth Amendment: Protects against unreasonable searches and seizures.
5. what is the 5 amendment? Fifth Amendment: Guarantees due process and protects against double jeopardy and self-incrimination.
6. what is the 6 amendment? Sixth Amendment: Ensures the right to a speedy and public trial and legal counsel.
7. what is the 7 amendment? Seventh Amendment: Extends the right to a jury trial in certain civil cases.
8. what is the 8 amendment? Eighth Amendment: Prohibits excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishment.
9. what is the 9 amendment? Ninth Amendment: States that the enumeration of specific rights doesn't mean other rights retained by the people do not exist.
10. what is the 10 amendment? Tenth Amendment: Reserves powers not delegated to the federal government to the states or the people.
