| third person omniscient | has narrator, but you see/read everyone's thoughts and what they feel |
| phrase | a group of words that make sense (Shorter than a sentence) |
| transition/transitional phrase | a word or group of words that bridges two ideas in writing |
| central theme | overarching idea or lesson of a text |
| central idea | main idea |
| revision/revised | to edit something or something that had been edited |
| formal vs. informal tone | a hard tone that is very up front vs. A very loose tone that is causal EX: My dog went on a walk. vs. My dog, Apple, went on a walk with me this morning. |
| objective summary | A concise revision of a text or compilation. NO OPINION!! |
| concise/precise | straight to the point, Succinct |
| conclusion | end or inference |
| claim or counterclaim | argument Vs. opposing view |
| perspective | your opinion or interpertation |

| relevant vs. irrelevant | it applies or is applicable/ not applicable |

| inference/infer/inferred | a conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning |

| omit/omission | to leave out something |
